COVID 19, manifestaciones neuropsiquiátricas y mecanismos fisiopatológicos. Revisión narrativa de la literatura

Resumen

Actualmente nos encontramos cursando una pandemia causada por SARS COV 2, virus que provoca la enfermedad COVID 19. Tanto las manifestaciones de la enfermedad como las derivadas de las condiciones epidemiológicas han reportado alta incidencia de manifestaciones neuropsiquiátricas, por esto el desafío de diferenciar entre afectación directa o indirecta de la enfermedad y los mecanismos patológicos que las subyacen se hace necesario con el fin de mejorar diagnósticos y tratamientos, así como reconocer la afectación causada por las condiciones de vida durante la pandemia, los factores de riesgo y las proyecciones a futuro es un trabajo necesario con fin de optimizar las medidas de aislamiento y prepararnos para enfrentar las consecuencias que la pandemia dejará en nuestra población.
